Safety
Our unwavering commitment to safety is ingrained in our core values and interwoven into every aspect of our day-to-day operations.

Health, Safety & Environment
At Pitbull, safety has always been our top priority. We believe that every employee, contractor, and customer has the right to return home safely at the end of the day. That’s why we have a comprehensive safety program in place that goes above and beyond industry standards.
Our safety culture is built on a foundation of training, communication, and accountability. Every employee is trained on the latest safety procedures and protocols, and is empowered to speak up if they see a safety concern. Every month we focus on a different safety theme, and have regular safety meetings to ensure personnel stay safe, informed, and aligned with current workplace priorities. To us, these regular safety meetings are an essential component of our safety program – as important as training employees, keeping equipment in working order, and performing audits and inspections.
SATO Training Facility
Recognizing a critical gap in training within Alberta’s energy sector, Pitbull launched SATO Canada in 2021 to address the growing demand for highly skilled, safety-focused workers.
The late 2010s brought widespread market instability, resulting in a significant loss of experienced personnel from the energy industry. Compounding the challenge, strict safety regulations prohibited on-site training for entry-level workers, further exacerbating the shortage of qualified oilfield personnel. To meet this pressing need, Pitbull established SATO Canada—a purpose-built training facility unlike any other in the country.
